Celebrating 100 Years in Business
This year marks a remarkable milestone for Sedam Tire: 100 years in business. As we celebrate this achievement, we’re filled with gratitude for the customers who have trusted us over the years, the employees who have dedicated their time and talents to our success, the suppliers and partners who have supported our growth, and the community that has stood by us for a century.
Our story began in 1926 when W. Glenn Sedam opened a small gas station and grain mill at Five Corners, just a few miles from our current location in Perry, New York. What started as a small local business has evolved into a company that serves retail customers, farms, commercial fleets, and wholesale partners throughout Western New York.
While the industry has changed dramatically over the last 100 years, one thing has remained constant: the importance of taking care of people. Today, Sedam Tire offers passenger tires, automotive service, agricultural tire support, commercial service, fleet maintenance, wholesale distribution, and 24-hour emergency roadside assistance. We’ve expanded our facilities, grown our inventory, invested in technology, and added new services to better meet the needs of our customers.
But despite all the changes, our values have never changed. We believe in doing what we say we’re going to do. We believe in treating people fairly, standing behind our work, and putting the customer first.
When a farmer calls during harvest because equipment is down, we respond. When a family needs reliable transportation to get to work, school, or activities, we help. When a business needs support to keep its fleet moving, we’re there. That’s what Sedam Tire has been doing for 100 years.
